Muslim's attitude towards Muslim sects
Second question from Fatwa no.
9772
Q 2: There are at present many Muslim sects such as
the Sufi orders of
Al-Shadhuliyyah,
Al-Ibrahimiyyah,
Al-Qadyaniyyah,
etc. What is the Islamic attitude towards these sects?
What is our attitude as Muslims towards these sects and the ideas promulgated by their followers which defame Islam?
A:
We accept their deeds that go in agreement with Allah's Book (the Qur'an) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace be upon him) and refuse their deeds that differ from the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his Family, and Companions!
