Q:
I have been married for thirty seven years now. I refrained from having intercourse with my husband eight years ago and started to mistreat him.
What is the ruling on this act?
A:
A wife is obliged to honor and treat her husband kindly seeking to please Allah. It is impermissible for her to refrain from having intercourse with her husband unless she has a Shar`y (Islamically lawful) excuse. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.
