Q 2: What is the ruling on a person who visits
Al-Masjid Al-Nabawy (the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah)
in a state of Wudu’ (ablution) and visits
Al-Baqi‘
and the rest of the sites without Wudu’. Is there any blame on him for that?
A:
There is no blame on him; visiting
Al-Baqi‘ or the Martyrs of
Uhud does not require that the visitor has Wudu‘. It is Mustahab (desirable) to visit graves, but Taharah (ritual purification) is not a condition. This is due to the general meaning of the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him):
Visit the graves for they remind you of the Hereafter.

Muslim in his Sahih [Authentic Hadith Book])
